Sport Pilot certificate is your fastest way to the freedom of flight.
As long as you have a U.S. driver’s license, no medical certificate is needed.
It requires only 20 hours of total flight time of which 15 hours should be flight training and 5 hours of solo flight. Of course, those are just minimums, and in reality, it may take you more time. Our Sport Pilot training package also includes 20 hours of ground training to make you a knowledgeable pilot.
Also, the basic sport pilot license doesn’t require communication training, so you would be able to fly only in airspace not requiring communication. However, since we operate in the busy Long Island airspace, our training package includes the training and endorsement that allows you to fly in any airspace except in Class A (above 18,000 feet).
For the latest training prices, please visit the Training Packages page.
You must be 16 years old to solo and 17 years old to apply for the certificate.
